Nazir Afzal, chief crown prosecutor, CPS North West, says he's proud to have been called an honorary woman. He's prosecuted honour killings in the UK. #twconf12
When there is justice in a case of honour killing, it probably stops someone else from doing the same thing, says Afzal #twconf12
Nazir Afzal, chief crown prosecutor, has dealt with 50 honour killings in Britain against women who wanted to drive, or a woman who kissed a boyfriend. He says he is driven by a desire to get to the source of why these killings happen. He says he is driven by looking into his children's eyes and does not want to see them suffer the way girls suffer today.
